SOCIAL ACTION: EMERGENCY SHELTER PARTNERSHIP: REQUEST FOR VOLUNTEERS
As many of you know, for the past twelve years, Temple Shaaray Tefila has opened its doors to provide shelter to our community’s homeless. This year, as part of the Emergency Shelter Partnership, Temple Shaaray Tefila will once again be hosting those in need during the week of November 14th through November 20th.
We are asking for volunteers to cook and serve a meal or provide breakfast foods for ten to fifteen guests. Meals are cooked at home, and brought in hot or may be heated at the Temple.
Volunteers are asked to bring food at 9pm during this week; serving and clean up will be completed by 10pm. Breakfast foods can be dropped off any time before 9pm at the temple.
This year we are also asking for donations of small toiletries, new socks and wash clothes and towels to be given to the men and women in the shelter.
If you are able to participate in this incredible mitzvah, please contact Enid Linden at firstname.lastname@example.org. Please give your phone number, specify whether you would like to cook/serve dinner, or provide breakfast foods, as well as two choices for days that are convenient for you during that week.
