Lifelong Learning | Overview Lifelong Learning As our tradition requires, we “teach our children in way they should go so when they are old, they will not depart from it.” Jewish education is a dynamic life-long journey which challenges and inspires all who follow its paths. Our religious school offers a diverse and holistic program in a pressure-free environment to help our families and youth strengthen their senses of self, community and Judaism. Nearly 600 students, from Kindergarten through Grade 12, study and explore Hebrew, Torah, holidays, identity, history, Israel, life cycles, values and more. Nearly 25 classroom teachers and 25 teenage teachers’ assistants combine thirsts for creativity and knowledge with love of Judaism and youth to create a wonderful and positive classroom setting.
Our early childhood center helps pre-school children begin to understand life and Judiasm, and our religious school serves upward of 600 children as they learn about Reform Judaism and learn how to live Jewishly.. After bar/bat-mitzvah, our students remained involved in our upper school and our youth programs. Becoming a B’nai Mitzvah begins exciting opportunities from a 4-day learning and lobbying trip to Washington, DC to weekend retreats at Eisner Camp. Our Upper School program offered our maturing Jewish adults pressure-free discussions and hands-on experiences, which encouraged them to be Jewish with their heads, hearts and hands. |
